Super Kitchen 80
Super Kitchen 80, located at 308 Kearny St, San Francisco, CA 94108, offers a delightful dining experience in the heart of the city's Financial District. Known for its generous portions, friendly service, and reasonable prices, it’s quickly become a go-to spot for both locals and visitors seeking delicious Chinese comfort food. Despite its modest appearance, with quirky interior touches like an old wooden cabinet, Super Kitchen 80’s focus on quality shines through in every dish.
The restaurant’s signature dishes are a true testament to its culinary expertise. The Beef Brisket Noodles are a standout, featuring thick, chewy noodles paired with tender, well-marinated brisket. The dish is perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sauce to keep the noodles moist, and a spicy kick that enhances the flavor. It's a hearty, flavorful meal that leaves a lasting impression without being overly heavy.
For those looking for a snack or side dish, the Baked BBQ Pork Bun is a must-try. This is not your average bun; it has a sweet, crunchy crust that contrasts beautifully with the rich, umami-packed BBQ pork filling. The texture and flavor combination is an unexpected delight, making it a popular choice among customers.
Super Kitchen 80 also excels in its dumplings. The Fried Shrimp Dumpling, crispy on the outside and filled with coarsely minced shrimp, provides a satisfying bite with each piece. While the mayo dip is a bit bland, the dumplings are flavorful enough on their own to not need much accompaniment.
One of the added perks of dining here is the surprise corn soup, which comes free with certain orders. The soup has a light, slightly viscous texture and offers a refreshing break between bites of the main dishes.
With its delicious, freshly prepared dishes, friendly service, and affordable prices, Super Kitchen 80 is a must-visit for anyone in the area. Whether you're in the mood for a filling noodle dish, savory dim sum, or a comforting bowl of soup, this hidden gem in San Francisco offers it all.
Super Kitchen 80 Reviews
I'm impressed by the beef brisket noodle at this place! The portion size is generous, and the service is always friendly.
From the huge illuminated picture signage and random interior design choices like an old wooden cabinet, it looks like the kind of fast food Chinese takeaway you'd find in any given suburb. But if you look closer, it's not really fast food since nothing is pre-made except for a few pieces of dim sum. And those main dishes made-to-order turn out to be delicious and reasonably priced! Baked BBQ Pork Bun: Not your typical baked bun. Had a crunchy sugary crust on top. Which might sound weird at first, but keep in mind the BBQ sauce is a little sweet anyway. So it actually goes quite well together to contrast the rich umami of the pork and the neutral taste of the bread. In addition to taste contrast, the texture contrast is nice too. Only thing to note is that as leftovers it's not really crunchy reheated, so best to eat all at once. Fried Shrimp Dumpling: Perfectly crunchy and packed with coarsely minced shrimp. The mayo dip is an odd choice, since it's kinda bland. Maybe a sriracha mayo would have better? Corn Soup: Came free with my order as a surprise. Had that slightly viscous soup texture that usually comes from cornstarch. But otherwise was pretty light, with just a few pieces of corn and meat bits on the bottom. It was a nice palate cleanser between bites of my meal though. Beef Brisket Noodles: A sleeper hit! The noodles seemed fresh, being doughy thick and chewy. A pretty solid amount of brisket given the reasonable price, all of it tender and full of strong marinated flavor. A nicely spicy kick too. And a good amount of sauce so the noodles were wet, but not soupy. Very filling. Very tasty. Very unique.
Super Kitchen 80 is awesome! I love that they are located right in the heart of the financial district. If you are looking for quick, delicious Asian cuisine you have found it! And don't get me started on the portion's because they are HUGE! My office and I typically start in the morning with an order the the baked BBQ pork buns (eat them fast, while they are HOT!) Around the lunch hour I go for the beef brisket noodle (it has a slight kick! Yum) towards the end of the day I get the fried shrimp dumplings for snack. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful when it comes to ordering. Food is ready within 10 min at most. I usually call ahead of time and pick up! Highly recommend!
I finally got the chance to come here after work earlier today and ordered the Beef Brisket Noodles and some Dim Sum. The Brisket was so warm, tender and flavorful and the noodles were as thick as Udon Noodles. It was really delicious. The Shrimp and Pork Dumplings were cooked just right. It was very convenient that my main dish was served in a very sturdy plastic take out container just in case I was not able to finish my food. I was lucky I was able to find a table because it was not too busy by the time I arrived here around 5:20 pm. The owner was very friendly and prompt at preparing and serving my food. I most definitely will start coming here more often and try more of their food. I plan to order the Shrimp, Crab Meat & Curry the next time I visit here.
Really surprised with the taste , generous portion and the price in financial district.
